The 28th annual Unity in the Community is this Saturday, August 20 from 10am to 4pm in Riverfront Park. Unity in the Community is our region's largest multi-cultural celebration. It's fun for the whole family and completely free. Bring a blanket or chairs with you so you can sit on the lawn, watch performances, wander the different booths, and have lunch. With so much going on, you may want to spend the entire day! Free school supplies and bike helmets while supplies last.

 Fox Presents: Nitty Gritty Dirt Band this Sunday
The legendary Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, originally formed in 1966, is a popular country rock band. The latest Dirt Band lineup is expanded to six members for the first time since 1968. Today's group consists of founding member Jeff Hanna, harp master Jimmie Fadden, and soulful-voiced Bob Carpenter. Those veterans are now joined by singer-songwriter-bass man Jim Photoglo, fiddle and mandolin wizard Ross Holmes, and Hanna's son, singer and guitarist Jaime Hanna. They will perform at Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox this Sunday, August 21 at 7pm.

 North Idaho State Fair begins today
Celebrating 100 years of fun, the North Idaho Fair starts today, August 19 and runs through Sunday, August 28 at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds. Live music, fair food, Carnival, Monster Trucks, Rodeo, Demo Derby and more. Join in on the 100-year celebration!

 Arbor Crest Art & Glass Fest this weekend
After two long years, Art & Glass Fest is back at Arbor Crest this Saturday & Sunday, August 20 & 21. Featuring over 50 local artists of different backgrounds and trades, this is a two-day celebration of creative minds and works of our local community. Arbor Crest wine, and beer from Square Wheel Brewing Co. and Mediterranean fare from Arbor Crest's chefs are available for purchase. Live music by Huth Sound. Hours are 11am to 5pm both days, free admission, ages 21+.

 Tesla coming to Northern Quest this Sunday
Rock band Tesla will perform at Northern Quest Sunday, August 21 at 7:30, with special guest Buckcherry and Great White. Tesla released their debut album in 1986, which went platinum, and they're still performing strong 35 years later. The band is known for their authentic 1970s blues rock sound.
