DreamWorks Animation exhibit continues at the MAC



The Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture's new exhibit, DreamWorks Animation: The Exhibition - Journey from Sketch to Screen continues. The exhibition features over 350 items, including rare and never-seen-before material from DreamWorks Animation's archive, including concept drawings, storyboards, models, masks, maps, photographs, posters, paintings, and other original artworks from their much-loved animated classics.

In addition to visiting the DreamWorks Animation exhiition, the MAC is also offering DreamWorks Movie Matinees on selected Sundays through August in the E.A. Johnston Auditorium. This Sunday, May 29 is a special screening of Kung Fu Panda at 2pm. The next film to be shown is Flushed Away on Sunday, June 12.

Bob Dylan's 'Rough and Rowdy Ways' Tour at First Interstate Center this Saturday



Bob Dylan's 'Rough and Rowdy Ways' World Wide Tour will be at First Interstate Center for the Arts on this Saturday, May 28, at 8pm. Rough and Rowdy Ways, Dylan's 39th studio album, was a best-selling album in 2020. This made it Dylan's highest-charting album on the Billboard 200 in more than a decade. It also marked his seventh consecutive decade of charting top 40 albums, making him the first artist to accomplish this feat.

Chris Botti this Saturday at The Fox



Fox Presents Grammy-Award winning master trumpeter and composer Chris Botti, in a special concert this Saturday, May 28 at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox. Chris is at home playing everything from jazz to pop to rock, and is an excellent bandleader who lets his players shine. His mesmerizing performances with an amazing array of legends such as Sting, Barbra Streisand, Tony Bennett, Yo-Yo Ma, Frank Sinatra, Paul Simon and Andrea Bocelli have cemented his place as one of the most brilliant and inspiring forces of the contemporary music scene.

Spokane Symphony's Free 'Out & About Concerts' continue today at Carl Maxey Center

Earlier this month, the Spokane Symphony announced a new series of free 'Out & About Concerts,' taking place in different neighborhoods around the region. The last concert this month is today, May 27, 6:30pm at The Carl Maxey Center, 3114 E. 5th Avenue in East Central Spokane. The concert will consist of about 45 minutes of light classical music from a small group of two to five Spokane Symphony musicians. The musicians will introduce the music, sharing insight into its history and the instruments they're playing.
