NW BachFest Spring Concerts coming March 19 & 20



Northwest BachFest Live closes out its 2021/22 season this month with two concerts at Barrister Winery, 1213 W. Railroad Avenue in Spokane. The first program on Saturday, March 19 by guest artist Victor Santiago Asuncion, piano. The All-Chopin program features his four Ballades, the fourth of which is considered the epitome of romantic music. The remainder of the program is Chopin's four dramatic Scherzi.

Northwest BachFest Artistic Director Zuill Bailey, cello, joins Asuncion for the second concert on Sunday, March 20 with a Cello/Piano Extravaganza with music of J. S. Bach, Debussy, Coleridge-Taylor and Brahms.

Spokane Home & Garden Show today through Sunday at the Convention Center



The 45th Annual Spokane Home & Garden Show is coming to the Spokane Convention Center today through Sunday, March 11-13, Vendors will showcase their latest products and services for the Home and you'll see the latest trends and can get expert advice on all your home remodeling, decorating or building needs. Vendors include builders, renovators, garden & landscapers, flooring, windows & doors, window treatment, heating and cooling contractors, roofing, furniture, and a wide range of lifestyle products and services. Special enter to win prizes will be featured, including the Grand Prize, a new 20' x 17' Timbertech Azek deck valued at $15,000 provided by the locally owned Dynamic Decks.

Back by popular demand, is the 'Barrels & Brews' event from 4-8p today, March 11. Adults can browse the booths while enjoying local wine and beer. This event is one night only. Special Barrels and Brews Tickets will be available at the door and this ticket also includes admission to the Spokane Home & Garden Show.

Spokane Symphony Special: Carmina Burana - March 19 at The Fox



Be a part of the spectacle when the Spokane Symphony, conducted by Music Director James Lowe, and the Spokane Symphony Chorale perform Carl Orloff's Carmina Burana, Saturday, March 19 at 8pm. Based on 24 poems from the medieval collection of the same name, the work explores life's delights, unpredictability and excesses. Soloists are Dawn Wolski, soprano, Aaron Agulay, baritone, and Christopher Pfund, tenor.

Spokane Motorcycle Show this weekend at the Fairgrounds



Law Tigers present the 17th Annual Spokane Motorcycle Show & Sale today through Sunday, March 11-13 at the Spokane Fair & Expo Center. Glenn Miller Orchestra coming to the Fox March 30



The legendary Glenn Miller Orchestra from New York will perform one night only in Spokane at Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox, bringing timeless classics like 'In the Mood,' 'Moonlight Serenade,' 'Chattanooga Choo Choo,' 'Pennsylvania 6-5000,' 'String of Pearls' and 'Tuxedo Junction' back to the stage. Even 80 years after founding his famous orchestra, Glenn Miller's music is alive and well. Performance is Wednesday, March 30 at 7pm.

ZZ Top coming to First Interstate Center June 9

Tickets are on sale starting today, March 11 for ZZ Top's 'Raw Whisky Tour,' coming to the First Interstate Center for the Arts Thursday, June 9 at 7:30pm. ZZ Top's upcoming album, RAW will be released in July and was recorded in connection with the band's popular 2019 Netflix documentary That Little Ol' Band From Texas. The Grammy-nominated feature includes an interlude that finds the group's classic line up - Billy Gibbons, Frank Beard and the late Dusty Hill - gathering for a very intimate session at Gruene Hall, 'the oldest continually run dance hall in Texas'. That performance provided the basis for the RAW album release.
