Inlander Restaurant Week is underway!



Inlander Restaurant Week is going on now through Saturday, March 5, in the Spokane/Coeur d'Alene area, with over 99 restaurants offering three-course meals for the set price of $22, $33, or $444. On the website, www.InlanderRestaurantWeek.com, you can search for restaurants by cuisine, neighborhood, price and in alphabetical order. Reservations are highly suggested. All of the menus, plus additional content like chef profiles, food trends and entertainment options during Inlander Restaurant Week will also be available in the official printed event guide. The guide is available at STCU branches and at the participating restaurants. The event guide was also in yesterday's issue of the Inlander.


Spokane Symphony Masterworks 6: The Genesis of the SSO



Celebrate last year's 75th anniversary of the Spokane Symphony Orchestra (SSO) by experiencing some of the music performed during the orchestra's early history, including the very first notes ever played by the SSO: Gluck's Overture to Iphigenie in Aulis. Spokane's own Archie Chen plays Robert Schumann's soulful Piano Concerto. Other selections include George Frederick McKay's Suite on Fiddler's Themes, and Symphony No. 8 in G major, Op.88 by Antonin Dvorak. Performances are Saturday, March 5 at 8pm and Sunday, March 6 at 3pm.

Fox Presents Black Violin, March 3



Black Violin is led by classically trained string players Wil B. (viola) and Kev Marcus (violin). Joining them onstage are DJ SPS and drummer Nat Stokes. The band uses their unique blend of classical and hip-hop music, often described as 'classical boom,' to overcome stereotypes and encourage people of all ages, races, and economic backgrounds to join together to break down cultural barriers. Black Violin released their latest studio album, Take the Stairs, on November 1, 2019. The record debuted at #1 on the Billboard Classical Chart, #1 on the Billboard Classical Crossover Chart, #7 on Billboard's Top New Artists Chart, and #9 on the Billboard Hip Hop and R&B Chart. Some of their creative collaborations include Kanye West, Wu-Tang Clan, Wyclef Jean, Lil Wayne, and Alicia Keys.

Spokane Chiefs play at the Arena tonight and tomorrow



The Spokane Chiefs play against the Seattle Thunderbirds, tonight, February 25. On Saturday, February 26, the Chiefs play the Tri-City Americans, and Saturday, is 'Chiefs Fight Cancer Night,' presented by Inland Imaging. Game time both nights at 7:05pm.

Cole Swindell performs at First Interstate Center this Saturday



Grammy-nominated Cole Swindell is bringing his 'Down To The Bar' Tour to First Interstate Center for the Arts this Saturday, February 26 with special guest Travis Denning and Ashley Cooke. Cole recently released his 12th career single, 'Never Say Never' with Lainey Wilson, the song follows his 10th career No. 1. Performance time is 7:30pm.

CYT Presents: The Wizard of Oz at the Bing

Christian Youth Theater (CYT) presents 'The Wizard of Oz,' at the Bing Crosby Theater, beginning tonight. Follow the yellow brick road in this delightful stage adaptation of L. Frank Baum's beloved tale, featuring the iconic musical score from the MGM film. The timeless tale, in which young Dorothy Gale travels from Kansas over the rainbow to the magical Land of Oz, continues to thrill audiences worldwide.

Performances are today, February 25 at 7pm, and Saturday, February 26 at 3pm and 7pm. Additional performances are Friday, March 4 through Sunday, March 6.
