Fiddler on the Roof opens at First Interstate Center January 11



A new production of the classic Broadway hit, Fiddler on the Roof, is coming to Spokane for eight performances at the First Interstate Center for the Arts, beginning Tuesday, January 11 through Sunday, January 16. With hit songs such as 'Tradition,' 'Sunrise, Sunset,' 'If I Were a Rich Man,' 'Matchmaker, Matchmaker,' and 'To Life (L'Chaim!), Fiddler on the Roof is the heartwarming story of fathers and daughters, husbands and wives, and life, love and laughter. This production features a talented cast, lavish orchestra, and stunning movement and dance, based on the original staging by Jerome Robbins.

Spokane Symphony Masterworks 4 at The Fox January 15 & 16



Conductor Laureate Eckart Preu (2004-2019) returns to conduct the Spokane Symphony's Masterworks 4, with music by Richard Wagner - Prelude and Liebestod from Tristan und Isolde, and Anton Bruckner - Symphony No. 3 in D minor. Performances are Saturday, January 15 at 8pm and Sunday, January 16 at 3pm.

Giving Back Comedy Night at the Bing January 7

Michael Glatzmaier, Phillip Kopczynski, and hosted by Rick Clark will be at The Bing Crosby Theater this Friday, January 7 for a night of musical comedy and Stand up. Proceeds will go to Spokane Quaranteam and Giving Back Packs. Michael will be recording his Musical Comedy Special, where every song is created on the Spot based on audience suggestions. Phill has two comedy specials on Dry Bar and Comedy Dynamics. After his set, he will get suggestions that get written on a whiteboard that Michael will use to create songs on the spot. Showtime is 7pm.

Spokane's First Friday tomorrow

This Friday, January 7 is First Friday in Spokane at participating venues around town. First Friday is designed to showcase the downtown art and retail scene. Downtown retailers and restaurants feature artists, musicians, exclusive activities, and specialty food and beverages.

Spokane Watercolor Society will be at Barrister Winery for First Friday, from 5-9pm. Live music will be performed by The Strangers and runs from 7-9pm. Reservations required, call 509-465-3591. The website is www.barristerwinery.com.

Trackside Studio's Annual Cup of Joy Exhibit and Sale ends this Friday

Trackside Studio closes their 8th Annual Cup of Joy this Friday, January 7, and there is a First Friday closing reception from 5-8pm, Cup of Joy began in early December, and features special ceramic cups by 40 artists invited nationwide. Online sales end this Friday.

Nickelodeon's JoJo Siwa's D.R.E.A.M coming to the Arena January 13



Nickelodeon superstar JoJo Siwa is a YouTube personality, singer, dancer, entrepreneur, social media influencer and The New York Times bestselling author. Siwa's hits include 'Boomerang,' 'Kid in a Candy Store,' and 'Hold the Drama.'
