Drive-thru Holiday Lights begin this Friday at Manito Park

The Manito Holiday Lights will be even more spectacular this year, and walk-thru days have been added just for pedestrians. Last year, this event transitioned to drive-thru only to align with COVID 19 guidelines in place at the time, however, over five times the number of community members were able to attend compared to the traditional holiday lights event. Based on the success and enthusiasm of last year, it seemed right to make it a new tradition.

The dates for this year's event are:
Drive-thru (only) event: December 10-16, 6:30-9:30pm
Walk-thru (only) event: December 17-19, 6:30-8:30pm.

Enjoy a one-half mile loop through the park, beginning near the Park Bench Cafe, past the Ferris Perennial Gardens, under and then across the historic rock arch bridge, past the Rose Garden, and exit onto 21st Ave. The indoor light show at the Gaiser Conservatory will not happen this year, but the Conservatory will be open regular daytime hours, but not be decorated with lights.

The Manito Holiday Lights event is free to the public. The show is funded through generous support of community sponsors, and produced by the non-profit volunteer group The Friends of Manito and Spokane Parks & Recreation. Donations are welcome, you can donate with cash during the show or online. For driving directions, maps, and more information, visit thefriendsofmanito.org.
