The Nutcracker Ballet with the Spokane Symphony coming to The Fox December 2-5



The Nutcracker Ballet with the Spokane Symphony returns to the Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox for five performances, Thursday, December 2 through Sunday, December 5. Morihiko Nakahara conducts the orchestra with the State Street Ballet. This holiday classic with the Spokane Symphony is a favorite local holiday tradition. Performances are Thursday and Friday at 7:30pm, Saturday at 2 and 7:30pm, and Sunday at 2pm.

MAC Holiday Kick-Off Celebration this Saturday



Enjoy festive holidays lights and special outdoor activities at the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture this Saturday, November 27 from 4-6pm. Activities include a vintage Crescent Department Store holiday window display, scavenger hunt, and Campbell House holiday video. Meet the one time Campbell Family cook, Hulda, and get one of her sugar cookies. Come early to visit the Louis Comfort Tiffany exhibition and four more featuring American Indian and Pacific Northwest art and history. The MAC's Museum store will also be open for you to shop for special early holiday gifts. Admission is free, $5 donations graciously welcomed.

Crescent Windows at the Davenport Grand begin this Saturday



The classic holiday window displays are once again at the Davenport Grand Hotel in the Main Ave windows. This is a holiday favorite, with five window bays on the south side of The Grand hotel with display scenes featuring refurbished figurines rescued from the basement of the former Crescent Department Store. Each of the five windows are designed and installed by local artists Stephanie Bogue, Melanie Lieb, Derrick Freeland and Jazmin Ely under the creative direction of Tiffany Patterson. The window displays begin this Saturday, November 27 at 4:30pm and run through Sunday, January 2. Hours are Friday and Saturday noon-10pm and Sunday through Thursday 3-8pm.

These windows are made possible thanks to underwriting by the Downtown Spokane Business Improvement District, with facility contribution and logistical help from Davenport Hotels.


Trans-Siberian Orchestra Holiday show this Friday at the Arena



Another holiday tradition in Spokane, the progressive rock group Trans-Siberian Orchestra is back with their 'Christmas Eve and Other Stories' show at the Spokane Arena this Friday, November 26. This year's tour celebrates the 25th anniversary of the group's landmark album Christmas Eve and Other Stories, the 3x certified platinum album that launched the group to superstardom and spawned the bring-the-whole-family rock holiday tradition. Performance is at 7:30pm.

Northwest Winterfest opens Friday



Northwest Winterfest is back this year and opens for the season this Friday, November 26 at the Spokane Fair & Expo Center. This year's event includes a large selection of holiday lantern displays and cultural celebration. You can tour dozens of lighted holiday lantern displays, walk at your own pace and enjoy the magical lights, food booths, beer, wine, and hot drinks booth, and merchandise store. The display runs through Sunday, January 2. Hours are 5-9pm.

This week's music at Arbor Crest

This Thanksgiving weekend, the music continues at Arbor Crest with two Fireside Concerts. This Friday, November 26, Ron Greene performs and on Saturday, November 27, it's Jazz with Pamela Benton. Music runs from 5:30-7:30pm both nights. Wine, beer and food available for purchase.

Winter Glow Spectacular now open in Liberty Lake



2021 brings WinterGlow Spectacular for another exciting year at Orchard Park in Liberty Lake. The holiday lights display, now in its 7th year, is open now and continues through Saturday, January 1, 2022.

Mean Girls now at First Interstate Center



Direct from Broadway, Mean Girls is the hilarious hit musical from an award-winning creative team, including book writer Tina Fey ('30 Rock'), composer Jeff Richmond ('Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt'), lyricist Nell Benjamin (Legally Blonde) and director Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon). Mean Girls has seven remaining performances starting today, Wednesday, November 24 through Sunday, November 28 at First Interstate Center for the Arts.
