NW BachFest 'Across the Miles' series continues this Saturday



Northwest BachFest's 'Across The Miles' series continues with a BachFest Cabaret 'Burlesque' event, The Singing Siren! with Shelly Watson, for a one night only special event this Saturday, January 16, live from NYC at 7:30pm. Shelly Watson, Juilliard graduate, opera singer and Met Opera outreach artist follows her love for comedy, improvisation, costume design, set design, and event hosting as a 'Femcee'. Shelly's programs have been described as 'Effervescent, Feisty, Fanciful and Fun!'.

The program will be streamed on BachFest Facebook Live for interaction with viewers as well as on the BachFest You Tube Channel with custom links provided to ticket buyers.

The MAC reopens for private visits



The Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture reopened yesterday for private visits only as part of Washington's Phase 1 reopening. A group of up to six people from the same household can enjoy a 50-minute visit, Tuesday through Sunday, starting at 10am - last visit at 4pm. You'll have the gallery all to yourselves! See POP Power from Warhol to Koons before it closes on Sunday, January 24, plus two World War II exhibitions commemorating the 75th anniversary of the end of the war: Bomber Boys: Portraits from the Front, and American Inheritance: Unpacking World War II.

You must get your tickets in advance online. Visit northwestmuseum.org. The Museum Store is open from 10am-5pm, Tuesday through Sunday.


Decadence Annual Chocolate Festival returns with virtual format



Days of Decadence - Spokane's premier annual chocolate tasting event, returns in 2021. It will now have a digital format spanning two weeks along with a larger focus on not just fine chocolate but other elegant products and gift ideas. From January 29-February 14, guests can visit the official Days of Decadence online portal at hopin.com/events/days-of-decadence to learn about chocolate, hospitality, retail, personal care, style and other luxurious topics. There will also be opportunities to watch online presentations from local chocolate, cooking and lifestyle experts.

Days of Decadence launches Friday, January 29 with a print shopping & entertainment guide published in The Spokesman-Review, followed by a Free 3-day virtual event Monday-Wednesday, February 1-3.

Tune in to KPBX this weekend for this great Kids' Concert - An American Celebration. The Spokane Piston & Rotary Club (SPARC) kicks off the 2021 season of KPBX Kids' Concerts with a celebration of American music this Saturday, January 16 at 1pm on KPBX 91.1. The incredible low brass ensemble SPARC performs music from Sousa, Big Band, Broadway, and much more.
