NW Bach Festival begins Saturday



The Annual Northwest BachFest presented by Connoisseur Concerts, features their second BachFest week of the year, with performances on Saturday, May 25 through Tuesday, May 28 in selected venues.

Great Scott! A Scott Joplin Celebration with Richard Dowling, piano. A play-list of music showcasing and celebrating the timeless music of Scott Joplin, master of Ragtime including music from The Sting.

An Evening of Classics for Cello and Piano with Artistic Director and 2017 Grammy-Award Winning Cellist Zuill Bailey and Richard Dowling, piano. The program includes works by Boccherini, Beethoven, Rachmaninov, Brahms and Chopin.

Hennessey Funeral Home Memorial Day Celebration



Hennessey Funeral Home at 2203 North Division is having a Memorial Day event, Sunday, May 26 and Monday, May 27, 9am to 5pm each day, honoring and celebrating our Veterans and our loved ones. The celebration is in the spirit of the King of Rock starring Ben 'Presley' Klein and the Zonky Jazz Band performing some of the Elvis' greatest hits. 3 shows, Sunday at 1pm, and Monday at 1 and 3pm.

Plus, more entertainment from the Brass Works Band, TnT, and a Steel Drum performance by Taylor Belote. There will be Veterans Memorabilia, a Working Railroad, Joe Bruce's NASA Space Display as well as The Hassie Club classic and antique car show. There's no cost, and there will be plenty of coffee, cookies, popcorn, plus hot-dogs mid-day.


Bela Fleck and the Flecktones coming June 3



American bluegrass and jazz quartet, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, is making a summer tour stop at the First Interstate Center for the Arts on Monday, June 3 at 8pm. For many Flecktones fans, the return of the original line-up allows a chance to see a band that many had never gotten to witness before.

Fox Presents Indigo Girls June 18

The Indigo Girls are coming to Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox on Tuesday, June 18 Amy Ray and Emily Saliers have performed together for 35 years, sold more than 14 million records, and have proven to be one of the all-time great duos. Don't miss the Grammy Award-winning INDIGO GIRLS with their emotional blend of folk, rock and pop music on Tuesday, June 18 at The Fox Theater.

Garland Theater Summer Camp begins June 4



The Garland Theater will begin its Summer Camp on Tuesday, June 4. Films are shown on Tuesdays at 7:15pm. All tickets are $2.50.

EWU Presents: The Sound of American Music May 30 at the Fox



The EWU Department of Music presents: 'The Sound of American Music' at Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox on Thursday, May 30. Hear a wide variety of EWU musicians perform American music from the past 100 years. The concert culminates with a world-premiere work by Jenny Kellogg for Jazz Band, Orchestra and Choir. Doors open and lobby activities begin at 6:30pm.

Ray LaMontagne to perform at the Fox November 14



Fox Presents Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Ray LaMontagne on the stage of Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox on Thursday, November 14 as part of his Just Passing Through acoustic tour, highlighting songs from his vast body of work. LaMontagne will be playing songs spanning across his albums including Trouble, Till The Sun Turns Black, Gossip in the Grain, God Willin' & The Creek Don't Rise, Supernova, Ouroboros, and Part Of The Light.

Disney's Newsies: The Broadway Musical



Christian Youth Center presents Disney's Newsies, coming to the Bing Crosby Theater May 24 through June 1. Set in turn-of-the century New York City, is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a band of teenaged 'newsies.' When titans of publishing raise distribution prices at the newsboys' expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what's right. The story is based on the 1992 motion picture and inspired by a true story.

Outdoor Summer Concerts at Rocket Market start this Saturday

The summer season has begun at Rocket Market, and their outdoor summer concert series starts this Saturday, May 25 at 7pm. Performers are Emmy winner John Floridis and popular duo Michael & Keleren Millham. The evening will also be a fundraiser for the Isamu Jordan Family. Rocket Market is located at 726 43rd Ave on the South hill.
