Spokane Symphony Classics 5 - Dvorak and Rachmaninoff



Spokane Symphony Concertmaster Mateusz Wolski will perform another great work from the violin repertoire: Dvorak's Violin Concerto. Rachmaninoff's choral symphony, The Bells, loosely based on a poem by Edgar Allan Poe, is considered by many to be one of his great masterpieces. Eckart Preu conducts and guest performers include Soprano Dina Kuznetsova, Tenor Kirk Dougherty, Bass-Baritone Kerry Wilkerson, the Spokane Symphony Corale, and Eastern Washington University Symphonic Choir.

Spokane Health & Fitness Expo this weekend



The 4th Annual Spokane Health & Fitness Expo is this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, January 5-6 at the Spokane Fair and Expo Center. This is a great way for Spokane to kick off the new year and find ways to reach those Health & Fitness Goals.

At this year's Expo, see what's new for 2019, meet fitness experts on Yoga, Zumba, Barre, Strength Training and more. There will be free fitness classes on the Athleta Main Stage (sign up online), Ninja Warrior Obstacles, Aerial Silks, 30' Rock Climbing Wall and lots more. On Saturday there is a Powerlifting competition at 11:30am and CrossFit Tournaments. Rollery Derby games on Sunday and Pickleball Tournament all weekend long. and you can meet Ninja Warrior Sandy Zimmerman both days.

Fireside Music returns to Fridays AND Saturdays at Arbor Crest



Arbor Crest's Fireside Music series continues and is back to Friday and Saturday nights in the Tasting Room. This Friday, January 4, Justin James Sherfey (pictured above) is musical performer, an award-winning, nationally recognized singer and string-instrumentalist who rocks the fiddle, guitar, mandolin, and numerous other instruments. Music runs from 5:30-7:30, no cover.

On Saturday, January 5, The B Team performs. Bob Christilaw and Brandon Humphreys, two members of long-time Spokane rock band Plastic Saints, will bring their duo act to the Tasting Room for the first time. Music runs 5:30-7:30, no cover.

Little River Band coming to the Fox January 11



The Little River Band takes the stage at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox on Friday, January 11 at 8pm. Through the '70's and '80's, LRB enjoyed huge chart success with multi-platinum albums and chart topping hits like: 'Reminiscing,' 'Cool Change,' and 'Lonesome Loser.' REO Speedwagon is coming to Northern Quest January 17



With 40 million albums sold around the globe, lead vocalist Kevin Cronin and bandmates Bruce Hall (bass), Neal Doughty (keyboards), Dave Amato (guitar), and Bryan Hitt (drums) continue to electrify concert audiences with a long string of hits. Their landmark album 'Hi Infidelity' delivered four Top 40 Hits alone: 'Keep on Loving You,' 'Take it on the Run,' 'Don't Let Him Go,' and 'In Your Letter.'
