Visit the Campbell House for the Holidays

The halls are decked, crafts and activities await. Household members from 1918 officiate. It's 1918 and The Great War has just ended. Helen Campbell Powell is preparing for her second holiday season without her husband (who is serving in France), the first with their newborn son. The end of the war has brought the family and servants to life with renewed energy and enthusiasm for the upcoming festivities.

Visit the Campbell House, next to the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture in Browne's Addition this month to celebrate the holidays and the 100th anniversary of the WWI Armistice in historic Campbell House. Explore the house at your own pace, enjoy the Christmas tree and holiday decor, make a craft, compete in a scavenger hunt, and talk with living history characters.

Cost is $2/person with regular museum admission. The Campbell House is open for the holidays from December 18-23 and 26-30 from 12noon-4pm. For more information, visit www.northwestmuseum.org or call 509-456-3931.
