Spokane Symphony's 'Soiree On The Edge' Concert to be held at the Fox tonight

The Spokane Symphony announced that their outdoor Soiree on the Edge concert at Arbor Crest Wine Cellars, scheduled for this evening, August 15 at 7pm, will be moved inside the Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox due to unhealthy air quality. Doors open at 6pm tonight at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox, 1001 W. Sprague Avenue, and the concert will begin at 7pm.

A variety of Arbor Crest Wine Cellars wines will be for sale at the theater, along with snacks at the concession stand. A reserved section of The Fox will be available for 'tent table' ticketholders, and open seating will be available for those holding 'lawn tickets.'

Ticketholders for this Soiree on the Edge who are unable to attend the indoor concert tonight, may apply the cost of their ticket toward another Classics concert this season. The next Soiree on the Edge concert is scheduled on next Wednesday, August 22, 7pm at Arbor Crest Wine Cellars. Last Friday night concert at Manito Park Bench Aug 17



Wyatt Wood performs this Friday, August 17 at the Park Bench Cafe in Manito Park. This is the last summer concert of the season. Music runs from 6-8pm, and food and beverages are available for purchase at the Cafe. The concert is free, so pack you blanket and enjoy an evening of great music in the park!

Ron Greene performs at the Tasting Room Stage at Arbor Crest, this Thursday, August 16, from 5:30-7:30. Jewelry by Kathy LeFrancis and Recycled Wood Art by Dan and Anna Barker will be on display. $5 cover charge.

On Sunday, August 19, enjoy the big band sounds of Tuxedo Junction as they perform on the Cliff House Stage. Music runs from 5:30-8pm, $10 cover charge.

NW BachFest Summer Classics Tour Concerts August 26-29



The Annual Northwest BachFest presented by Connoisseur Concerts will have its Summer Classics Tour with concerts in Spokane, Coeur d'Alene and Sandpoint, August 26-29.

Cello-Bration! Cello Quartet - Artistic Director and 2017 Grammy Award-Winning Cellist Zuill Bailey with Dr. Melissa Kraut from the Cleveland Institute of Music and young stars of cello, Cicely Parnas and Jared Blajian

Monday, August 27 - 7pm Concert at Hagadone Event Center, 904 Floating Green Drive, Coeur d'Alene

Carrie Underwood coming to the Arena May 22

Seven-time Grammy winner and Pollstar's three-time top female country touring artist, Carrie Underwood, will bring The Cry Pretty Tour 360 to the Spokane Arena on Wednesday, May 22, 2019. She will be joined on tour by special guests Maddie & Tae and Runaway June.

Underwood will release her new album, Cry Pretty, on September 14, which will be her first studio album on Capitol Records Nashville and marks the first time she has co-produced her own album. The lead single and title track, 'Cry Pretty' debuted as the #1 song in the U.S. all-genres.

Garland Theater's Free Summer Movies

The Garland Theater continues its free summer movies through this month, with lots of fun for the whole family.

August 20-24 - Smurfs: The Lost Village
August 27-31 - Emoji Movie

Doors open at 9am, movies begin at 9:30am.

Spokane Symphony Passes available at Spokane County Library District

Spokane County Library District has a new program, in partnership with the Spokane Symphony, that offers County Library cardholders the opportunity to attend one of three classical music concerts this fall. All 11 District libraries will have four Spokane Symphony concert passes available for check out for each of the following Spokane Symphony Sunday matinee performances conducted by Eckart Preu at Martin Woldson Theatre at The Fox.

The Bohemian Spirit - Sunday, September 9, 3pm
Washington state native Charlie Albright performs Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3.

The Heroic - Sunday, October 21, 3pm
Pianist Alon Goldstein performs Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 21.

Sibelius and Brahms - Sunday, November 4, 3pm
The Silver-Garburg Piano Duo performs Brahms' famous Opus 25.
