Spokane Symphony's 73rd Season Announced

The Spokane Symphony has recently announced its 2018-2019 concert season. The 73rd season will mark a major turning point for the organization as Music Diretor Eckart Preu concludes his 15-year tenure and conducts his farewell season of concerts. Maestro Preu will conduct five of the ten classics concerts, and the classics lineup will also include the addition of five guest conductors who are finalists in the music director search.

Tickets are on sale now for current subscribers of Spokane Symphony packages, who have a priority time period in which to renew their series and save up to 25% off individual ticket prices. Subscriptions are available to the general public starting March 30. This season, classics subscriptions are more valuable than ever before, since subscribers not only save money, but they'll have the opportunity to give their input about guest conductor finalists in post-concert surveys.

Pops concerts with Spokane Symphony backing will include performances by Portland-based Pink Martini, ABBA The Concert, Michael Cavanaugh starring in 'The Music of Billy Joel,' the Seamus Eagan Project, and Cirque de la Symphonie.

Symphony series will include Chamber Soirees at The Historic Davenport Hotel, Baroque music in local churches, and The M Show: Music, Mayhem & Mystery hosted by Concertmaster Mateusz Wolski. Other Symphony specials include 'Haunted Hallows, The Music of Harry Potter,' the Nutcracker Ballet, and Beethoven's Ninth on New Year's Eve. The popular Fox Family Series continues with three touring shows designed for the whole family.

On March 30, the general public can subscribe to Spokane Symphony classics, pops and other series for up to 25% savings. On August 17, individual concert tickets go on sale to the general public.
