Judy Collins performs with the Spokane Symphony Feb 3



Singer-songwriter Judy Collins has inspired audiences for five decades, singing traditional and contemporary folk standards and her poignant original compositions. Her more than 50 albums have earned her multiple Grammy nods, from her stunning 1967 rendition of 'Both Sides Now,' to her 2017 nomination for 'Silver Skies Blue.' She will be backed by the Spokane Symphony with Assistant Conductor Jorge Luis Uzcategui, for this special evening of songs and stories, Saturday, February 3 at 8pm at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox.

20th Annual Spokane International Film Festival begins Friday Feb 2



SpIFF is celebrating twenty years and the opening film of this year's festival is Benny & Joon, with a showing at the Bing Crosby Theater this Friday, February 2 at 8pm. This wonderful romantic comedy from 1993, filmed on location here in Spokane and stars Johnny Depp and Mary Stuart Masterson, also starring Aidan Quinn. Prior to the film showing, Best of the Northwest - begins at 5:30 and is a program of unique and award-winning short films, all harvested from right here in the Pacific Northwest.

The Film Festival runs through Friday, February 9. Tickets are available at spokanefilmfestival.org or at the SpIFF box office at each venue (open 30 minutes prior to each screening). A listing of films and locations can be found on the website.


Puppy Love - Feb 13 at Maryhill Winery



A fundraiser for the Spokane Humane Society, called 'Puppy Love' will be held at Maryhill Winery in Kendall Yards, 1303 W. Summit Parkway, Suite 100 on Tuesday, February 13 from 5:30-8pm. Cost is $15 at the door. Enjoy a glass of wine and light foods while you bid on romantic gifts, getaways and treats at the silent auction. Proceeds benefit The Spokane Humane Society.

Grammy award winner Miranda Lambert brings her Living Like Hippies tour to the Spokane arena this Friday, February 2 at 7pm.

It's First Friday Spokane



'Rearranging the Furniture: New Work from artist Larry Ellingson' opens this Friday, February 2 at Barrister Winery, 1213 West Railroad Avenue. There's an artist reception from 5-10pm and features live music with Maxie Ray Mills. This highly impractical art, made from interesting-looking, cheap junk, is inspired by the same muse that moves one to rearrange the furniture. The exhibit runs through February 27.

Montreal Guitar Trio performs at Panida Theater in Sandpoint Feb 11

Sandpoint's Panida Theater presents the Montreal Guitar Trio, a classical guitar concert paying tribute to the great composers of Spanish music, including Paco de Lucia and Manuel de Falla. It's Thursday, February 11 at 7:30pm.

Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf at the Civic through Feb 11



Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf is on stage at Civic Theater's Studio Theater through Sunday, February 11. Winner of the 1963 Tony Award for Best Play, this intense and drama, hailed as a dramatic masterpiece, exposes the breakdown between George and Martha, an affluent middle-aged couple. Performances run Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2pm.
