Holiday Pops this weekend at the Fox



This Saturday, December 16 and Sunday, December 17, the Spokane Symphony's Annual Holiday Pops concert is at the Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox. The Spokane Symphony will celebrate the holidays with heart-warming music and magical moments, including a visit from Santa. This holiday tradition includes some of the season's most-loved festive songs and carols. In addition to traditional music, the program will include the charming animated film, The Snowman.

This year's concert features Conductor Morihiko Nakahara, Spokane Symphony Chorale, Spokane Area Youth Choirs, Christian Niczyporuk, Boy Soprano, and Mike Cantlon, Narrator. Performance times are Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 2pm.

Ring in the New Year with 'Puttin' On The Ritz'



'Puttin' On The Ritz,' Spokane's premiere New Year's Eve Gala at the Historic Davenport Hotel, begins with a fabulous red carpet experience in the Hall of Doges and Pennington Ballroom. The gala follows the traditional performance of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox.

An elegant three-course dinner is served beginning at 9pm. Dance on two large dance floors to the music of the 20-piece Master Class Big Band and five vocalists including the Weddle Twins who were recently featured in Northwest Profiles. Music is cross over from Sinatra, Christine Aguilera, Big band and Uptown Funk. A celebratory glass of champagne and festive party favors will help toast in the new year. Black Tie Preferred or Evening Cocktail.

Holiday Lights at Manito's Gaiser Conservatory through Dec 17



Manito Park's Holiday Lights display is continuing through this Sunday, December 17. Located in the Gaiser Conservatory, thousands of holiday lights will be lit for this holiday season. Best viewing times are from 4-7:30pm. The Conservatory is open at 8am every day and lights are turned on by noon.

Nathan Pacheco coming to the Bing this Saturday

Number 1 Billboard artist Nathan Pacheco is at the Bing Crosby Theater this Saturday, December 16 at 7:30pm. He is a classically trained tenor who will perform wonderful holiday music from his soon-to-be-released Christmas album.

This Friday, December 15 the Bartlett at 228 West Sprague presents nine bands for their 4th Annual Bartlett Christmas Special. Music begins at 8pm.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation at the Garland Theater Dec 21

It's time for a Griswold Family Christmas! Inlander's Suds and Cinema presents a favorite holiday film, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, with one showing at the Garland Theater, next Thursday, December 21 at 6:30pm.

Learn the History of Gingerbread this Sunday at the MAC



This Sunday, December 17, hear about the history of this classic holiday treat, Gingerbread, at the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture, beginning at 2pm. Food historian and college educator Monica Stenzel is teaching this fun class on the history and creative art of making festive gingerbread treats. Program includes cookies to decorate and enjoy from Madeleine's Cafe & Patisserie. Class size is limited to 20.
