Garrison Keillor coming to the Fox tonight



Garrison Keillor's Prairie Home 'Love and Comedy' Tour will be at the Fox tonight, August 16, starting at 7:30pm. The live performance will also include Aoife O'Donovan, Fred Newman, and Rich Dworsky and the Road Hounds. The evening will be filled with stories, love duets, Guy Noir, Cowboys, poetic outbursts, and Singing Intermission at which the Eager & Able-Bodied stand and sing around the campfire.

Live music this Friday at Manito Park Bench Cafe



This Friday, August 18, Just Plain Darin performs at the Manito Park Bench Cafe. Music runs from 6-8pm, no admission. Great food, snacks, beverages, ice cream and more available for purchase. Beer from No-Li available too. This is their last summer concert of the season, so don't miss it!

This Thursday, August 17, The Powers will perform indie folk/country. Art on display will be Fused Glass by Randy Haa and Jewelry by Anthony Gallaher. Music runs from 5:30-7:30, $5 admission.

This Sunday, August 20, Tuxedo Junction Big Band (pictured above), a 19-piece musical ensemble led by sax man Craig Catlett, and fronted by vocalist Rugh Pratt, will perform at Arbor Crest's Concert on the Cliff. Music runs from 5:30 to sunset, $10 admission.

Halloween at Hogwarts



Hogwarts School is coming to Spokane for Halloween! Stroll through lessons on Defense Against the Dark Arts, Herbology and Potions. Trick or Treat while you meet the ghosts, Dementors, Fantastic Beasts and more. Visit the Leaky Cauldron Pub for cool sips...then enter 'Hedwig Theater' where Professor Nakahara will lead a musical ode to Harry Potter along with assorted, scary classics. An unforgettable Halloween experience, brought to life by the Spokane Symphony!

Coming Saturday, October 28 for two performances, 2pm and 8pm. Pre-concert activities at 12:30 and 6:30pm. Music selections include Harry Potter favorites and a special mix of Halloween classics.
