Spokane Symphony Showcases Music from Favorite Heroes Flicks & Comics Feb 18

Kris 'Storm' Crocker and Morihiko 'Superman' Nakahara

Spokane Symphony's upcoming special, 'Heroes, Villains and Sidekicks,' will feature spine-tingling music from America's favorite Superheroes in comics, TV and film. The Spokane Symphony and Resident Conductor Morihiko Nakahara will give two performances at 2pm and 8pm this Saturday, February 18 at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox. The audience will be able participate in pre-concert activities and assume a role in the performance.

The program will feature some of the most popular scores in cinematic history, such as John Williams' 'March' from Superman, 'Scherzo for Motorcycle' from Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade, and 'Princess Leia's Theme' from Star Wars.

Before the concert there will be a variety of fun activities suitable for the whole family. They include craft-making stations for creating jewelry and masks, a Mad Science Lab and a glow station for kids. In addition, the lobby will feature several backdrops where photos may be taken with favorite heroes and villain characters. There will also be a costume contest with a chance to win $100.

V.I.P. packages include onstage seating, a private photo session with hero and villain characters and more. V.I.P. packages and regular tickets are available at the Box Office, or by calling 509-624-1200, and also at www.spokanesymphony.org, and all Ticketswest outlets.
