Blooming Artists at Express Employment Professionals

Express Employment Professionals at 331 W Main Avenue, a downtown staffing agency and monthly host for First Friday events, has partnered with the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery to host 'Blooming Artists'.

Since the beginning of March, the children visiting the Nursery have had the opportunity to draw, paint and color on canvases. The response from the children has been so overwhelmingly positive that Express is prepared to cover almost every inch of their large brick walls with the children's artwork.

This Friday April 1, from 5-8pm, each piece will be on display and for sale with 100% of proceeds going to the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery for continued support of its wonderful cause. All unsold art pieces will remain on display and will be available for purchase throughout April.

This event was initially inspired by the artwork of 2 1/2-year-old Michael Angelo Rugan, the son of Express Account Manager Jeff Rugan. Canvases for the children at the Nursery have been donated by Susan and Ira Amstadter, owners of Express Employment Professionals.

For more information call Jeff Rugan, Express Employment, 509-747-6011 or Amy Knapton, Executive Director, Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery, 509-340-0477.
