Join The Art Spirit Gallery this Friday, June 12, for ArtWalk and the Opening Reception for artists Victoria Brace and Robert Grimes. Meet the artists and view their latest works. Stevie Lynne performs at the Bing this Friday

Singer, songwriter Stevie Lynne is at the Bing Crosby Theater this Friday, June 12 at 8 pm. With a sound all her own, Stevie encapsulates the folk/rock essences of legendary greats such as Stevie Nicks and Joni Mitchell, adding a soulful and sensitive inflection on vocals, reminiscent of powerhouses such as Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald and Nina Simone. Budweiser Clydesdales in downtown CdA Friday night

As a great addition to Art Walk, the Budweiser Clydesdales will be appearing on Sherman Avenue this Friday night, June 12 from 5-7pm. Centennial Distributing is bringing them into town and they will travel along Sherman, stopping at each of the Centennial customers for photo opportunities. The Downtown will close each block while the horses are there - closing from 2nd to 3rd while the horses stop at Taphouse Unchained, then opening that block when the horses move on down to between 3rd & 4th, and so on.

Herman's Hermits 'invade' Northern Quest Friday night

3rd Annual Music Fest at Arbor Crest this Saturday

Enjoy an entire day of great music at this year's Stage 2 Stage Arbor Crest Music Fest, this Saturday, June 13. The music runs from noon to 8pm and admission is free. Too Slim & The Taildraggers at the Bing this Thursday

Tomorrow night, June 11, Spokane Public Radio presents Too Slim & The Taildraggers Unplugged at the Bing Crosby Theater, starting at 7pm. Originally from Spokane, Tim 'Too Slim' Langford and The Taildraggers will perform a mix of acoustic blues edgy blues and have been performing for almost 30 years.

'Long Island Medium' Theresa Caputo at the Arena Saturday night

Long Island's favorite medium is coming to Spokane. Theresa Caputo, from TLC's hit show, 'Long Island Medium,' will appear before a live audience at the Spokane Arena this Saturday night, June 13 at 7:30 where she will give interactive readings to audience members throughout the show and will also share personal stories about her life and her unique gifts.

The highly-rated show 'Long Island Medium' follows Theresa's life as a typical Long Island wife and mom with one very big difference...she can communicate with the dead. Since she cannot 'turn off' this gift, messages from departed loved ones can come through at any time. The unique challenges that her special abilities create for her husband and two children, and how they cope, are also a main theme on the show.

Theresa has been a practicing medium for 10 years and is a certified medium with the Forever-Family Foundation, an organization dedicated to connecting science with the afterlife. Singing, dancing and acting at Green Bluff

Auditions for the Old Orchard Theatre at the Green Bluff Grange will be held on Monday, June 22 or Wednesday, June 24 at 6:30pm. Ages 14 and up only. Come prepared to sing, dance and act.

Participants will be taught a song and dance from the show, 'Blunder Woman,' a musical spoof of the 70's hit TV show. Practice will be Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-8pm with performances on the last weekends in September. The Grange is located at 9809 E. Green Bluff Rd.

The Inlander presents Suds & Cinema tonight, June 10, 7:30pm at the Bing Crosby Theater with a showing of the film 'National Lampoon's Vacation,' starring Chevy Chase. This film is rated R. Tickets are $4 at the door, doors open at 6:30. Beer available for purchase.

Buddy Guy performs at the Fox July 7

Legendary Blues guitarist Buddy Guy is coming to Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox on Tuesday, July 7 at 7:30 for a show you don't want to miss. Buddy is a 6-time Grammy Award winner and 2012 Kennedy Center Honoree and released his new studio album 'Rhythm & Blues' two years ago. The concert will also feature special guest Quinn Sullivan, the 15 year old prodigy who first came to national attention at age six on the Ellen DeGeneres show. Since then, Quinn has been sharing stages with legendary players like Eric Clapton, BB King and Buddy Guy.

Free concerts at the Park Bench Cafe in Manito Park continue this Friday, June 12 from 6-8pm with the music of Endangered Species. Food and beverages, including beer and wine available for purchase.

SPR Goes to the Movies: 2001 A Space Odyssey

The Classic film, '2001: A Space Odyssey' will have a special showing, courtesy of Spokane Public Radio, KPBX FM, and Friends of the Bing. The film will be shown next Wednesday, June 17 at the Bing Crosby Theater. This showing is part of the SPR Goes to the Movies series. The evening begins at 6pm with Movies 101 hosts Dan Webster, Mary Pat Treuthart, and Nathan Weinbender discussing director Stanley Kubrik's films, and the impact 2001 had on the science fiction genre. The show's producer, Jim Tevenan, hosts the event.

Beat the heat with Sangria at Barili Cellars

Barili Cellars at 608 W. 2nd Avenue is set to open for June Second Saturday on June 13 from noon to 5pm at the tasting room, and they'll have some refreshing Sangria to soothe the June heat. (They're playing with a red wine version, and would love to get some feedback.)

Their June sale of award winners continues. Barili's 2012 Double Barrel Red took home 'Gold' award honors from the Seattle Wine Awards this month. And the 2012 Merlot also received a nod from the judges. They're taking 20 percent off four bottles of the award winners-Double Barrel Red or Merlot-mix and match.

They are also planning to do some bottling on Saturday, and you might be able to get a glimpse of the action. Barili will also feature photographs of outdoor beauty in the Northwest by local artist Aaron Theisen. Aaron' also written a cool hiking book about trails on Mount St. Helens. A Festival for Even the 'Smallest' Film Buffs

Friends Of the Bing and Northwest Film Forum have partnered to present the award-winning Seattle Children's Film Festival in Spokane at The Bing Theater July 8. Enjoy the best 17 of the festival's 2015 family-friendly short films featuring singing octopi, a magical kitchen and a young girl's creative use of balloons.
