Eagles at Spokane Arena May 29



The Eagles are landing at the Spokane Arena May 29 at 8 pm and you don't want to miss this iconoic rock band. The Eagles will bring their critically acclaimed History of the Eagles - Live In Concert Tour to the Spokane Arena on Friday, May 29. This marks the first time since 2002 that the band has performed in Spokane.

The tour, which kicked off July 6, 2013 following the release of the band's acclaimed, top-selling documentary of the same name, features classic Eagles' songs spanning their entire career, including some that have never been performed live. The Eagles have sold more than 120 million albums worldwide, earning five #1 U.S. singles and six GRAMMY Awards. Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975 is the best-selling album of all time, exceeding sales of 29 million units. The band's Hotel California and Their Greatest Hits Volume 2 have sold more than 16 and 11 million albums respectively. The Eagles were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.

'Seasons of Brass' at LC's auditorium Sunday

The Spokane British Brass Band, with 25 brass musicians, presents a concert entitled 'Seasons of Brass' in the auditorium of Lewis and Clark High School this Sunday. March 22 at 3 pm. Tickets at the door and all proceeds of the concert will be split between LC and the Spokane British Brass Band.

CdA Blues Festival March 27-29

The 2015 Coeur d'Alene Blues Festival is coming up next week, March 27-29, at the Coeur d'Alene Resort. This great lineup features Billy D and The Hoodoos, LeRoy Bell & His Only Friends, Lisa Mann, and Selwyn Birchwood.

The Manhattan Transfer comes to The Fox May 28

Legendary vocal band The Manhattan Transfer will perform at the Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox on Thursday, May 28 at 8 pm. The Manhattan Transfer's highly successful career spans more than four decades, with hits including 'Birdland,' 'Route 66,' and 'The Boy From New York City.' They have recorded with many artists - Tony Bennett, Bette Midler, Smokey Robinson, to name a few.

Jazz this Friday at Laguna Cafe

NCAA Spokane Regional Teams Announced

Washington State University and the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena will play host to the 2015 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship - Spokane Regional on Saturday, March 28 and Monday, March 30. The Spokane Regional will feature three exciting games over two days of competition. Guests at the Spokane Regional will be part of the Sweet Sixteen and the Elite Eight and will watch one team earn the right to play in the Final Four in New Orleans.

The 16 teams included in the Spokane Regional are: Maryland, Tennessee, OREGON STATE, Duke, Mississippi State, George Washington, Chattanooga, Princeton, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, GONZAGA, Tulane, Albany, South Dakota State, BOISE STATE and New Mexico State. If the Gonzaga Women's team win in both the First and Second rounds in Corvallis, OR, they will play at the Spokane Arena in the Sweet Sixteen.

Symphony With A Splash the First Friday of Spring

This Friday, March 20 beginning at 5pm, enjoy a great evening with the Spokane Symphony at the Fox Theater. Spokane's hottest tango band Tango Volcado performs from 5-6:45. Happy Hour food and drink specials will be available for purchase. Then from 7-8pm, Morihiko Nakahara conducts the Spokane Symphony - selections include Mendelssohn's 'The Hebrides Overture,' and Tchaikovsky's 'Souvenir de Florence,' op. 70. Music from three young American composers - Jesse Jones' 'The Lone and Level Sands,' Pierre Jalbert's 'Les espaces infinis,' and the World Premiere of a new work by Thiwangkorn Lilit.

'As Bees in Honey Drown' continues at Ignite!

'As Bees in Honey Drown' by Douglas Carter Beane is a satirical comedy with a commentary on today's society and its obsession with fame. Bees is directed by Brian A. Cheney and will run through March 29. Advance tickets are $10-$14 at igniteonbroadway.org. All tickets at the door are $15.

All performances and special events will be held at Ignite! Community Theatre on Broadway, 10814 E. Broadway Ave. in the Spokane Valley, (just east of University Rd. in the Valley Partners Building across Glenn Rd from Broadway Elementary School).

Comedian Andrew Ouellette returns to Spokane



Since Spokane comic Andrew Ouellette hit the road a couple years ago he has gained two American Achievements in comedy, including performing in all 50 states in only 48 days. He's done everything from radio, newspaper to television, and most recently he headlined a tour in Australia.

Andrew is gearing up for a US tour called 'Knock'em Dead' with fellow comedian Jake Daniels, which they are filming for Netflix. The Spokane portion of the tour includes Uncle D's Comedy Club April 3 & 4, The Viking Tavern April 5 (Adam Lee makes a guest appearance), and Crickets in Coeur d'Alene April 8. All show times are 8pm.

Coeur d'Alene Symphony Orchestra kicks off unique Fundraising Auction

Starting last Friday and continuing for at least 10 days, the Coeur d'Alene Symphony has put up for auction a custom-made violin and a custom made viola. The instruments were hand crafted by Spokane Valley luthier (and the Orchestra's principal violist) Jay Prior.

The Doobie Brothers coming to Northern Quest June 18



Come listen to the music of the legendary Doobie Brothers as they perform at Northern Quest Resort & Casino on Thursday, June 18 in the Pend Oreille Pavilion. Show time is 7:30pm.

The four-time Grammy winners have sold more than 40 million albums worldwide, with classic hits like 'Listen to the Music,' 'Black Water,' 'China Grove,' and 'Takin' It to the Streets.'

Uncorked! Comes to the Fox March 27



The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), Inland Northwest Chapter is hosting the 8th Annual Uncorked! a special evening of Wine, Beer, and Spirits Tasting and Auction to be held Friday, March 27 from 6-9pm at the Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox. The event will spotlight four local wineries (including Coeur d'Alene Cellars and Patit Creek Cellars) and local brewery: Waddell's, Cocktails by Cody, and small bites with each offering. A Silent Auction will round out the evening. And for the first time, the chapter will bestow the 'Spirit of NAWBO' Award to a local company with a history of support for women owned business concerns.

Funds raised by this event are used to support NAWBO chapter activities and 'Transitions', a Spokane based non-profit organization that works to end poverty and homelessness for area women and children. Tickets are $65 and available through Ticketswest at www.ticketswest.com or 800-325-SEAT.
