'Blithe Spirit' at Ignite! Community Theatre

'Blithe Spirit,' the smash hit of the London and Broadway stages, is at Ignite! Community Theatre May 30 through June 15. All performances and special events will be held at 10814 E. Broadway Avenue in Spokane Valley. Advance tickets are $14 for Adults, $13 for Students, Seniors and Military. All tickets purchased at the door are $15. Spokane Symphony Associates Upscale Sale this weekend




Spokane Symphony Associates will present their 6th Annual 'Upscale Sale' benefitting the Spokane Symphony Orchestra, this Thursday through Saturday at 1027 West 3rd Avenue in Spokane. There will be quality new, vintage, antique and unique items including furniture, paintings & prints, garden & patio items, sterling & silverplate serving pieces, art glass, crystal vases & goblets, fine & costume jewelry, china (Minton, Lenox, Wedgwood and more), designer furs & clothes, dolls, sports & fishing & camping equipment, books & cookbooks, holiday decorations and much, much more.

This sale, covering over 5,000 square feet with the highest quality items offered anywhere in Spokane is made possible by the generous contributions of over 100 donors. Volume-the Inlander's Music Festival Friday & Saturday

2 nights. 80 Bands. 1 Big party. This whole thing is crazy. More than 80 bands are flooding downtown Spokane this Friday and Saturday for two days of music and revelry. Volume-the Inlander's Music Festival is again showcasing amazing local talent and also bringing in big up-and-coming bands you're not going to want to miss. They've added more venues, assembled a food truck rally, booked local poets, planned panel discussions on the state of music and organized a brunch in memory of Isamu Jordan.

In advance, two-day admittance wristbands are $17. If you wait until Friday, the price for the pass is $25, if they don't sell out before then. During the festival, you can buy $15 one-day passes at the participating venues. You can also buy a wristband by visiting Inlander HQ (1227 W. Summit Parkway), Monday through Friday between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm.

Lily Tomlin at the FOX




Join Lily Tomlin for a great evening of laughter on Sunday, June 8, 7:30pm at the Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox. Lily's enduring characters, such as Ernestine to Mrs. Beasley to Edith Ann, will have you laughing in your seats.

Rockin' B Ranch Celebrates 20 years!

Grand Funk Railroad is at Northern Quest this Saturday night at 7:30. Known as 'The American Band,' Grand Funk Railroad has a string of hits including two number one singles, 'We're An American Band' and 'Locomotion,' along with mega-hits 'I'm Your Captain,' 'Closer to Home' and 'Some Kind of Wonderful.' Kayla Erb to perform June 10 at the Bing




There is another local girl starting to generate a buzz in the music business. Kayla Erb. She also happens to be coming back to Spokane and will be performing at the Bing on Tuesday, June 10th at 7:00pm as part of 'dnk.' They will be making a stop here as part of their West Coast tour. They are currently in Los Angeles performing, writing, and meeting with industry leaders. Two weeks ago, they performed with Anne Hathaway at a benefit for Lollipop Theater, a charity they have partnered with.

Kayla is a 2009 graduate of Mead High School and a veteran of the musical stage through 20 plus shows with CYT Spokane. Her musical drive took her to Nashville to study Commercial Music-Vocal Performance at the prestigious Belmont University where she graduated magna cum laude in 2013.

It was there she met another incredibly talented singer, David Davis from Chicago. David is also a Belmont grad. After graduation, they joined forces to start dnk.

In addition to their performance at the Bing, they will be performing at Red Lion Templin's on the River's Lounge on the Saturday, June 7th, and at the Spokane Indians Ballpark before the game on Monday, June 16th. They will also be working with 4 schools in the Mead District (Mead High School, Northwood MS, Farwell Elementary & Prairie View Elementary).
