Cheyenne Jackson Sings the Great American Songbook at the Fox




Cheyenne Jackson, the multi-talented actor, singer, and song writer, is a local boy who grew up in Newport and started his career on the stage of Coeur d'Alene Summer Theater before hitting the big time on Broadway and in Hollywood. Now, after an incredible career that includes sold-out Carnegie Hall concerts and award-winning performances, he is returning to the Inland Northwest for a special performance with the Spokane Symphony at the Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox on Tuesday, May 20 at 7:30. With Morihiko Nakahara conducting, Jackson will be singing hits from the Great American Songbook, including 'Besame Mucho,' 'Angel Eyes,' 'Luck Be a Lady' and more.

Arbor Crest Wine Cellars Summer Concert Series begins tomorrow!




It's that time of the year again! The 2014 summer concerts Series at Arbor Crest Wine Cellars begins tomorrow, May 15 for their Thursday series, 'Performers on the Patio' featuring Bill Bozly and jewelry by Juliann Colbert. Concerts run from 5:30 - 7:30. No Cover.

On Sunday, May 18, the Sunday series, 'Concerts on the Cliff' will feature the music of Hot Club of Spokane with Abbey Crawford from 5:30 - Dusk. Tickets are $8. All guests must be 21 and over.

Musicians' Spring Gala at Southside Senior Center

The Southside Senior Center and the Professional Musicians of the Inland Northwest, Local 105, will present a Continual 6-hour Jam Session Sunday, May 18th, at the Southside Senior Center (27th Ave East and Ray Street), from 4 to 10pm. Dancers, musicians, and lovers of good music are all invited to attend this rousing, reviving and revolving tour de force featuring nonstop music by many of Spokane's finest musicians.

'Andy Warhol: Photographs' at GUs Jundt




The Jundt Art Museum at Gonzaga University presents 'Andy Warhol: Photographs' and 'Views of Rome: Eighteenth-Century Prints by Giovanni Battista Piranesi and his Contemporaries' in the Jundt Galleries. The exhibition opens May 24 and runs through Aug. 9.

Spokane Poetry Slam at The Bartlett May 25




Spokane Poetry Slam will hold its biggest slam of the year at The Bartlett, 228 W Sprague Avenue, on Sunday, May 25 at 8 pm (doors at 7). This is competitive performance poetry, in which poets are judged by five audience judges, chosen at random. Go to thebartlettspokane.com for advance tickets.

Countdown to Spokane Indians baseball Opening Day starts now




The 2014 Spokane Indians season begins one month from yesterday against the Eugene Emeralds on Friday, June 13, and the countdown starts now. The Indians Countdown to Opening Day kicks off with an exclusive online presale for Single Game Tickets and an exclusive contest where, if the Indians Opening Night game sells out, one lucky fan will win a Spokane Indians jersey, four Reserved Bench Seat vouchers and a $100 Team Store credit. Fans can sign up on the Spokane Indians Baseball facebook page to enter the random drawing! All fans will receive an additional entry for each Facebook or Twitter post that includes the hashtags #LetsGoIndians and #SelloutOpeningNight.

Throughout the next month, the countdown will be active on the Indians social media accounts with announcements each day leading up to Opening Day and multiple Indians Prize Packs will be given away. OTTO the Mascot will make appearances throughout Spokane, the 2014 promotional calendar will be released, there will be exclusive offers for fans, and one special announcement coming on Friday, June 6 that is sure to get everyone excited.

Also, on each Wednesday during the countdown - once Single Game Tickets go on sale - the first 10 fans who purchase Single Game Tickets for Opening Day, and make a purchase at the Spokane Indians Team Store, will receive a voucher for a free hot dog to use at Avista Stadium.
