'Wicked' is here!

Season Finale of Symphony Classics Series this weekend

This Mother's Day weekend, the Spokane Symphony will perform Mussorgsky's 'Pictures from an Exhibition' and Prokofiev's 'Alexander Nevsky', with Eckart Preu conducting. Special guest is Grammy Award-winning opera star Meredith Arwady, who will join the Spokane Symphony Chorale in performing 'Alexander Nevsky'.

A pre-concert talk given by Eckart Preu one hour before each performance is offered free to ticketholders. There will also be a Silent Auction fundraiser held in the Founders Gallery of the theater. The auction will benefit the Spokane Symphony. Those attending either performance can bid on exciting experiences unavailable elsewhere! This silent auction will start an hour and a half before each concert and close at the end of intermission. Winners will be listed on screen in the lobby after the concert.

Concert dates are this Saturday, May 10 at 8 pm and Sunday, May 11 at 3 pm.

Tickets begin at $15 and are available in advance at the Box Office at the Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox, or by calling 509-624-1200. Spring Release at Spokane Wineries this Weekend

This Friday through Sunday, May 9-11, Spokane's local wineries gear up for their annual Spring Release Weekend - a weekend of wine, food and fun.

Spokane wineries will share their newly made wines. This is a time of celebration that typically marks the end of the winemaking season and the start of a new wine year. Activities at each winery include: Sampling new wines; sampling current vintages and talking with knowledgeable staff. Tasting fees may apply.

Cheyenne Jackson Sings the Great American Songbook




Cheyenne Jackson, the multi-talented actor, singer, and song writer, is a local boy who grew up in Newport and started his career on the stage of Coeur d'Alene Summer Theater before hitting the big time on Broadway and in Hollywood. Now, after an incredible career that includes sold-out Carnegie Hall concerts and award-winning performances, he is returning to the Inland Northwest for a special performance with the Spokane Symphony at the Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox on Tuesday, May 20 at 7:30. With Morihiko Nakahara conducting, Jackson will be singing hits from the Great American Songbook, including 'Besame Mucho,' 'Angel Eyes,' 'Walking My Baby Back Home' and 'Luck Be a Lady' and more.

Northern Quest has announced four of this year's shows in the lineup for the 4th Annual Pepsi Outdoor Summer Concerts.
