Patrick Siler at the MAC this Saturday
If you love art, you don't want to miss artist Patrick Siler's 'Meet Me at the Spot'. The Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture (MAC) will host a gallery talk led by Siler on Saturday, April 26, 4-5pm. Enjoy free admission to the talk and galleries beginning at 3:30 pm on the 26th.
Artist Patrick Siler is a storyteller. A consummate observer of people and places, he crowds his pictorial narratives with humorous characters and familiar looking street scenes. 'Meet Me at the Spot' features paintings, drawings, woodblock prints and ceramic works spanning several decades. Patrick Siler is a longtime Pullman resident and WSU Art Department Professor Emeritus.

'Video Games Live' Attracts Gamers and Non-Gamers to Symphony
'Video Games Live', an immersive concert event featuring music from the most popular video games of all time, will be performed by the Spokane Symphony and Spokane Symphony Chorale this Saturday, April 26 at 8pm at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox.

Custer's Spring Antique & Collectors Sale this weekend
Custer's 39th annual Spring Antique and Collectors Sale is this Friday, Saturday & Sunday at the Spokane County Fair and Expo Center. Over 150 dealers from across the west coast will be there selling thousands of vintage treasures for your home. It's the largest indoor antique and collectors sale of its kind in the inland northwest. Kitchenware, industrial, estate and costume jewelry, furniture, primitives, books, rustic garden, elegant glass, Shabby Chic, prints, retro and more.
Hours are: Friday 4 to 9 pm, Saturday 10am to 6pm, and Sunday 10 am to 4 pm Cost $6 all weekend, Kids 12 and under are free as is the parking.
Concert and Auction for Isaac Saturday at the Knitting Factory
The Concert and Auction for Isaac is this Saturday, April 26, 7 pm at the Spokane Knitting Factory. The bands donating their time and talents this year include: A brand new band: Mojo Box with their 'voodoo rock' style, 'The Friends for Isaac band' including KXLY Radio host Rick Rydell, 12-year-old Elijah Friese (who stole the show last year) and The Tunfels playing Classic Rock, Local Salsa music sensation Milonga and topping it off with one of the hottest bands in the area, the Big Mumbo Blues Band with Peter Rivera (Rare Earth).

'Love Letters' with Ellen and Jack
Ellen Travolta and Jack Bannon will perform 'Love Letters' at Lake City Playhouse in Coeur d'Alene as a benefit for the community theater company and the Coeur d'Alene Public Library Foundation. The dates are May 29th through 31st.
The piece is comprised of letters exchanged over a lifetime between two people who grew up together, went their separate ways, but continued to share confidences. As the actors read the letters aloud, what is created is evocative, touching, and frequently funny. Go to

50 HOUR SLAM events
Come see all the past winners of the 50 HOUR SLAM along with the organizers' sentimental favorites they want to share with you. The 'Rewind' this Thursday, April 24 at 8:30 pm at the Magic Lantern Theater, West 25 Main Avenue. Don't miss this opportunity to see Spokane's indie talent at its best with short films from the last three years of the competition presented on the big screen at the Magic Lantern.
Then On May 3rd, at 6 pm, the 50 HOUR SLAM premieres this year's top 16 local shorts films at the Bing Crosby Theater. This is the festival's fourth screening of local short films, all 3 to 6 minutes in length and all created within a period of 50 hours. Tickets are $10 at the door.
50 Hour Slam is an annual film competition and festival open to all filmmakers in the Spokane and Coeur d'Alene area. Its creators and organizers; Vexing Media, Purple Crayon Pictures, KSPS and the Magic Lantern, designed the festival as a way to encourage new and emerging independent artists as well as to challenge the more established filmmakers of the region while highlighting Spokane's active and varied Art and Culture.
Roast Condon on the menu at the Bing May 15
There will be blood in the water at the Bing on May 15 at 7:30 pm when Spokesman Review columnist Doug Clark hosts the first (and possibly last) Spokane Mayor Roast. Come watch the mayhem as the city's premier politician is put on the hot seat at the Bing Crosby Theater.
Clark will be joined in the shark tank by City Council President Ben Stuckart, Randy Shaw, Marty Dickinson, Shaun Higgins, Tom Keefe and more. The evening will also include a performance by Clark's band, the Trailer Park Girls.
Ticket prices are Main Floor $20, Balcony $15 and $10. All proceeds go to bring more quality entertainment to the Bing Crosby Theater.
Spokane Symphony's Spring Chamber Soiree tonight
The Spokane Symphony's Spring Chamber Soiree is tonight, Wednesday, April 23, 7:30pm at the Spokane Club.
This intimate setting for the Chamber Soiree Series is the perfect place to enjoy the Spokane Symphony's talented musicians. Witches' Night Off, A Charity Cabaret Benefit
Join Spokane AIDS Network and members of the National Touring Company of 'Wicked' for 'Witches Night Off,' an evening of song and dance, at The Bing Crosby Theater on Monday, May 19th. Doors will open at 6:30pm. The performance will begin at 7:30pm.
'Witches' Night Off' is part of an ongoing series of performances by the touring company to support charitable causes which advance 'Wicked's' theme of acceptance and illuminate the musical's message that people should not be judged on first impressions. In its seven years on the road, the company has raised over $2 million in donations for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and local AIDS service organizations all over the country. Produced by company members, the evening is an opportunity for them to step out of their roles in the musical and kick up their heels performing some of their favorite non-Ozian material.
This Monday night event will include live and silent auctions featuring opportunities to join the company backstage at the INB Performing Arts Center as well as some once in a lifetime 'Wicked' experiences you'll never forget. Net proceeds will benefit Spokane AIDS Network and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA).
