Don't miss the Spokane Symphony this weekend with famed Violinist Sayaka Shoji of Japan




At this Saturday and Sunday's concerts, the Spokane Symphony will have special guest, world renowned and critically acclaimed violinist Sayaka Shoji. She gives a rare performance in only two cities in North America-Spokane and Washington, D.C. and will perform her amazing rendition of Prokofiev's Violin concerto No. 2 with the Spokane Symphony and Resident Conductor Morihiko Nakahara.

Named one of Japan's '100 most influential people' by Nikkei Business, Shoji is a household name in her home country. Shoji has been impressing audiences for over 20 years and at the young age of 31, she continues to win international awards and honors and has performed with some of the world's leading conductors including Vladimir Ashkenazy, Sir Colin Davis, and Zubin Mehta.

The Symphony will also perform Shaker Loops by John Adams and Mozart's Symphony No. 39.

Last week to see Patrick Treadway perform as Barrymore at Interplayers

Gifted local actor, Patrick Treadway will perform 'Barrymore' through this Saturday, March 15. This Broadway hit follows larger-than-life actor John Barrymore as he reminisces about his life, his loves and his battle with the bottle all the while attempting to rehearse a revival of 'Richard III.'

Barrymore starred in such classic films as 'Grand Hotel,' 'Dinner at Eight,' and 'Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde.' Performance times are today, March 14 at 7:30pm, and Saturday, March 15 at 2pm and 7:30pm.
