Sammy Eubanks tonight at Bluz for a benefit

Dash Away downtown with STCU



STCU is proud to partner with Downtown Spokane to present free horse and carriage rides November 29 through December 22 and on Christmas Eve.

Spokane Symphony's Nutcracker at the Fox



For many in the Spokane community, the Spokane Symphony's production of The Nutcracker Ballet has long been a family tradition that signals the start of the holiday season. This beloved escape to the Land of Sweets, featuring State Street Ballet, 75 local dancers and, of course, live music by the Spokane Symphony, takes place December 5-8 in the fabulous Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox. There will be five performances on Thursday, Dec. 5 at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 7 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 8 at 2 p.m.

Spokane Art School Holiday Ornament Show this weekend

The Spokane Art School is having their annual Holiday Ornament Show, this Friday, November 29th (10am-5pm), Saturday, November 30th (10am-4pm) and Sunday, December 1st (11am-3pm)

Silver Mountain is open this weekend

Silver Mountain Resort will be opening for skiing, boarding, tubing, snowshoeing and scenic rides Friday November 29th through Sunday December 1st. The first gondola will load at 8:15am, skiing and tubing will start at 9:00am and go until 4:00pm. This will be a great chance to get some first tracks for the season and burn off some of that Thanksgiving dinner.

This will be a limited opening for skiing and boarding with select runs open along with chairs 1, 2 and the carpet lift. They will be offering reduced price lift tickets for skiers and boarders with adult tickets at $29.95 and youth tickets at $27.95. The best way to experience Silver is to stay at the base in their luxurious lodging and enjoy the 84 degree warm of Idaho's largest indoor waterpark.

There are plenty of activities to keep the family busy this weekend at Silver Mountain Resort. They will be having a traditional Thanksgiving dinner at Noah's Canteen, a premier of Warren Miller's "Ticket to Ride" on the 29th in Noah's loft and the Village Christmas Tree Lighting on the 30th, complete with warm drinks and caroling.

Currently there is a 10 inch base at the Mountain House and 22 inches at Kellogg Peak. NOAA is forecasting another storm system for Friday the 29th and Silver Mountain will be opening more terrain as conditions permit. For more information please visit silvermt.com.

Liberty Lake Holiday Ball is December 7

Tickets are now on sale for the 16th Annual Liberty Lake Holiday Ball. The Liberty Lake Holiday Ball is an elegant evening with a champagne reception, 3 course dinner, silent and live auctions, and live music with dancing. The event is the sole fundraiser for Friends of Pavillion Park.

The Liberty Lake Holiday Ball will be Saturday, December 7th from 5:00pm to Midnight at The Davenport Hotel. Tickets can be purchased for $75 per person or $750 for a table of 10 at the Friends of Pavillion Park website, www.pavillionpark.org. Call The Davenport Hotel for a special room rate.

All 15 cats and 10 dogs were once strays until they were discovered at pet shelters around the country by Popovich and trained by positive reinforcement into star performers that have performed on both the David Letterman and Tonight Shows, and spent five years at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.
