Jay Owenhouse Magic at the INB Saturday




Master magician and illusionist Jay Owenhouse will be performing his magic and illusions at the INB Performing Arts Center this Saturday, September 28 at 4 and 7:30 pm. The phenomenal touring Owenhouse show breaks new ground across the nation with a brand new, elaborate stage show called 'Dare To Believe,' a mind boggling, spell-binding experience that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Steve Earle and the Dukes with The Mastersons tomorrow night at the Bing




Steve Earle and the Dukes, with special guest, The Mastersons, perform at the Bing Crosby Theatre, this Thursday, September 26 at 8 pm, doors at 7.

Steve Earle has released his fifteenth studio album, The Low Highway, to worldwide critical acclaim in Spring 2013. Magnet Magazine stated in their 9 out of 10 star review, "This time out, he brings all his influences together into an LP that may be his most musically diverse offering yet" with PopMatters stating that it is Earle's best record since 2004's Grammy Award-winning album 'The Revolution Starts...Now.'

The album and corresponding live tour features his celebrated live band The Dukes, which also features the husband & wife duo Chris Masterson & Eleanor Whitmore (otherwise known as the recording artists The Mastersons) as well as longtime Dukes members Kelley Looney and Will Rigby.

BIG art show on the Little Spokane this Saturday




The Little Spokane River Artist Studio Tour is this Saturday, September 28 from 10 am to 5 pm. And while it may be something of a tradition in its sixth year, the Tour keeps things fresh with new artists and new work. There are 29 artists in all media showing lots of new art, priced from $50 to $150, with collector pieces up to $475. This year welcomes new artists Melanie Habets (fun, fashionable clothing), Virginia Carter (whimsical hand-painted pottery), and Greg Moffatt (one-of-a-kind wooden furniture). Also new to the Tour are Ami Davis (hand-woven fabric wearables), and Chris Giffin (charming found-object sculptures). Local favorite Kay O'Rourke (painting, drawing and sculpture) rejoins the Tour for the first time since its inaugural year.

The Summer Season's final week of live music at Arbor Crest

Arbor Crest Wine Cellars' popular Summer Concerts Series winds down this coming weekend. This Thursday, September 26 from 4:30 to 6:30, the free concert is Nicole Lewis performing rhythm & blues, with guest artist Shanda Woodward.

On Sunday, September 29, the final concert of the season will feature Common Groud, playing Top 40 Favorites. Concert begins at 4:30pm and runs until dusk. $5 cover charge.

Murder at the Bing!




The Lion's Share Theatre, under the sponsorship of Friends of the Bing, present a murder mystery production that will entertain and introduce the fabulous new renovations to the Theatre. On Friday, October 11 at 7:30pm and 10:00pm, the audience will travel back to 1926 as they move through the building to solve a murder.

78th annual Greek Dinner Festival this weekend

The 78th annual three-day Greek Dinner Festival, starts tomorrow, Thursday, September 26 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 1703 N. Washington Street. Lunch is 11 am to 2 pm, Dinner runs from 4:30 to 8 pm. Take-out orders are available.

The menu includes baklava, souvlakia, beef kapama, orzo with myzithra cheese and browned butter, shish kebabs marinated in herbs and lemon and Greek coffee. The festival also has traditional Greek dancing, cooking demonstrations, Greek deli items, beer, wine and Greek appetizers.
