Bada Bing! Comedy Series at the Bing




The Bada Bing Comedy show Friday March 8 at 8 pm at the Bing will feature Spokane's own comedian, Ken Martin as the emcee and Ed Clark as the opening act for nationally acclaimed comedy stars Kermet Apio and Joe Vespaziani. People may remember Kermet from his recent performance at the INB Performing Arts Center where he opened for Brian Regan. Joe is a past winner of the Seattle International Stand-Up Comedy Competition.

Spokane Symphony's Venetian Masquerade




On Saturday, March 9 from 8pm to midnight is the 2nd Annual Venetian Masquerade benefitting the Spokane Symphony. The Masquerade is in the tradition of the grand Masquerades of Venice with a modern twist.

Enjoy live music by 'The Masked Men of Jazz' featuring Dru Heller and Danny McCollim. You get to dance on the stage at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox. Ticket price includes snacks and two complimentary drinks. There will be exciting games and prizes and a no-host bar available with a signature cocktail just for this Masquerade. Dress is creative black tie, masks required. The best dressed will receive a special prize!

Riverfront Park's Carrousel Reopens Friday

The historic Looff Carrousel in downtown Spokane reopens Friday, March 1 after annual restoration and facility maintenance has been completed. The Carrousel will be open 11 am to 5 pm, Friday to Sunday, through March 24. Ride tokens cost $2 each or $10 for eight.

SPOMa Opens at the MAC

Spokane Modern Architecture (SPOMa) will open at the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture this Saturday, March 2 and runs through November 2.

The 25-year period between 1948 and 1973 saw a tremendous amount of architectural creativity in Spokane. Spokane's mid-century architects changed the face of the city and also received national recognition for their efforts. Their work continues to influence even today. Jewel coming to Northern Quest Resort & Casino

On Friday, May 31, Jewel will perform her greatest hits at the Pend Oreille Pavilion Stage at Northern Quest Resort & Casino. After 18 years and more than 27 million albums sold, Jewel has established herself in the music industry with her poignant lyrics and soulful renditions of hits such as 'Who Will Save Your Soul', 'You Were Meant for Me' and 'Foolish Games'. Her Greatest Hits Album was released on February 5, 2013 and includes duets with Kelly Clarkson and the Pistol Annies.

Miso Fresh Asian Restaurant Opens in Spokane

Miso Fresh Asian has opened in the two former Edo Japan locations at Northtown Mall and River Park Square. Owners Jay Underwood, former Spokane Edo Japan owner, and Stephanie Vigil-Underwood, local news anchor on KHQ, are excited to bring this new concept to Spokane with a menu inspired by Southeast Asian street vendors.

"Miso Fresh Asian will offer unique and savory Asian dishes freshly prepared with many healthy options. We have the ability to customize a meal to an individual's tastes, desires, or dietary requirements. The dishes are cooked individually in stir-fry pans over seven gas-fired ranges right in front of the customers," says Jay Underwood. There will also be some traditional Teriyaki items on the menu.

Gonzaga Symphony Orchestra performs at the Fox




The Gonzaga Symphony Orchestra featuring Piano Soloist Caroline Hong, will perform an exciting program which includes Rossini's Overture to 'La Gazza Ladra,' Stravinsky's 'Firebird Suite' and Rachmaninoff's 'Piano Concerto No. 3 in D Minor, Op. 30.' The concert is Monday, March 4 at 7:30pm at the Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox. Kevin Hekmatpanah is director.

Tickets are for general admission seating, $12 for adults and $10 for students and seniors. Admission is free for Gonzaga staff and students with I.D. 'Keep Calm and Drag On'

Eastern Washington University's Annual Drag Show featuring Ru Paul's Drag Race Queens is this Thursday, February 28 starting at 7pm at the PUB on the EWU campus. Doors open at 6pm. Tickets are on sale at the University Bookstore. $5 general seating, $10 first four rows. All proceeds go to the Spokane AIDS Network.

Taste Spokane to benefit Wishing Star Foundation

Wishing Star's 7th Annual Taste Spokane event will be held on Friday, March 15 from 6 to 10pm at Northern Quest Resort & Casino. This food, dessert, wine, beer and spirits tasting will feature more than 32 local vendors, raffles, live music, more all in support of Wishing Star. This event is age 21 and over.

Home & Yard Show starts tomorrow

Jim Custer Enterprises presents the 35th Annual Spokane Home & Yard Show beginning tomorrow, February 28 and runs through Sunday, March 3, held at the Spokane Fair & Expo Center. This year's show will feature over 250 exhibits of home improvement ideas and solutions.
