Celebrate Independence Day in Riverfront Park


Riverfront Park presents Spokane's 4th of July Independence Day Festival, starting today, July 3. The fun starts at 6pm at the Riverfront Park Lilac Bowl Stage, with Swing Dance Lessons, followed by a performance by Six Foot Swing at 7pm. At 8:30 Wingspan and Jazz in Blue performs.

Chocolate Apothecary's First Friday debut

The First Friday debut of the Chocolate Apothecary and the brand new Chateau Rive at The Flour Mill. Fireworks on the field and in the air at Avista Stadium




The Spokane Indians return to Avista Stadium on Wednesday, July 4th for a three game series against the division-rival Yakima Bears as they battle for the top spot in the Northwest League Eastern Division. Mozart in Manito Park



Connoisseur Concerts presents the 22nd Annual Mozart on a Summer's Eve, Tuesday, July 17 and Wednesday, July 18 at Manito Park on the lawn East of Duncan Gardens. The area opens at 5:30 pm for pre-concert picnics and the concert begins at 7pm.

This year's concert is 'Ciao, Belle Donne!' (Hello Beautiful Women!). Music Director Verne Windham has invited three dazzling sopranos to join the Connoisseur Concerts Wind Ensemble for a program of beautiful melodies. Heather Steckler Parker, Colleen Bryant Palmer & Heather Peterson. All three guest artists attended school in Spokane and are enjoying successful careers in music and theater. Renowned cellist Zuill Bailey will also be featured, back by popular demand from his outstanding sold-out Bach Festival appearance in March.

Northern Quest Resort & Casino welcomes Earth, Wind & Fire

Spanning the musical genres of soul, jazz, R&B, funk and rock, Earth, Wind & Fire is the third act of the 2012 Pepsi Outdoor Summer Concert lineup at Northern Quest Resort & Casino on Thursday, July 19. Broadway star Doug Webster in concert in Coeur d'Alene

Doug Webster who made his Broadway debut in 'Les Miserables' will present a concert Wednesday, July 18 at 7pm at the Kroc Center, 1765 W. Golf Course Road, Coeur d'Alene.

Doug will sing selected songs from 'Les Miserables,' 'Man of La Mancha,' 'Phantom of the Opera' and more. He will be joined by local vocal favorites Aaron Baldwin and Robby French.

Tickets are $25 per person $20 for groups of 15 or more and students from his workshop. Tickets can be purchased online www.cytnorthidaho.org or at New York Bagels and Deli at 226 Ironwood in Coeur d'Alene.

Experience the 'E9 Streamliner' Locomotive




The most prestigious passenger trains in the 1950s were pulled by the Union Pacific E9 locomotives. These Streamliners were known for their 'fine foods, fine service, and fine trains' as well as carrying America's elite. All aboard for a tour Tuesday, July 10 from 10 am to 4 pm at Spokane's Amtrak station, 221 West First. At 11 am Mayor David Condon will be there to proclaim Spokane as an official Union Pacific Town.
