The countdown is nearly finished! Leo is in Spokane at the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture starting this Friday, June 3! It's the biggest, most exciting exhibit the MAC has ever offered. Leonardo da Vinci Man - Inventor - Genius opens Friday and runs through September 5 at the MAC. It has 60 invention models and 23 replicated artistic masterpieces, including the Mona Lisa and the Last Supper. What can Browne's do for you this weekend?

The sun and the arts will shine brightly this Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Browne's Addition. It's the official kickoff of summer! Vintage Spokane coming this Sunday!

Spokane's largest wine tasting, Vintage Spokane: A Food and Wine Affair, comes to the Lincoln Center this Sunday, June 5 from 4 to 7:30pm. More than 50 wineries and delicious bites from the area's best restaurants will be offering samples. Tickets are $60. A portion of the event proceeds will benefit the Hospice of Spokane. The Lincoln Center is located at 1316 N Lincoln St in downtown Spokane. Fashion Night out this Friday

You are invited to the style event of the season as the Inland Northwest Red Cross presents the first annual Spokane/Coeur d'Alene Fashion Night Out at the Spokane Convention Center this Friday, June 3rd! Preview the best of local fashion as models and firefighters heat up the runway in looks from Finders Keepers, Tangerine, Fringe, and Mountain Gear as you enjoy light appetizers and signature cocktails. Follow the yellow brick road to CdA Summer Theatre

"The Wizard of Oz", starring Ellen and Margaret Travolta and Jack Bannon opens at Coeur d'Alene Summer Theatre June 9th and runs through June 19th. Performances are at North Idaho College's Boswell Hall Schuler Performing Arts Center located at 1000 W. Garden Avenue.

The classic tale of Dorothy's adventure to Oz includes many of the songs from the famous MGM musical. Watch the stage come alive with flying monkeys, dancing jitterbugs and a yellow road that will lead you to a shimmering emerald city. The show features Ellen Travolta as the Wicked Witch, Margaret Travolta as Glinda and Jack Bannon as the wonderful Wizard of Oz. The cast also features 28 local children as the Munchkins.

The show runs from June 9th to June 19th with performances on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings at 7:30pm and matinee shows on Sundays at 2:00pm. The release party for Nodland Cellars new vintage of Bebop dry white wine is this Friday, June 3 at 5:30-8:30pm with master musician Paul Grove on guitar and artist Jeannine Fruchi with a series of new paintings. Pucker up for KISS tickets

Starting next Monday, June 6 through Friday, June 10, you have a chance to win tickets to the upcoming KISS concert at the Arena on June 24, with an opportunity to win first, second, third, fourth and fifth row seats. The "Pucker Up for KISS Tickets" contest is a series of 10 challenges that must be completed by participants in order to be entered to win the tickets. Walk the 17 bridges that cross the Spokane River

Come join Spokane Parks and Recreation for the 3rd Annual Spokane Bridge Walk, this Saturday, June 4. The event will have an open ended start time from 9:30 am -10:30 am. A sign-in table will be located at Veteran's Court on the north bank of the Spokane River between Post and Monroe streets.

Bridge Walk is an opportunity to walk, talk and take in the views and bridges of the Spokane River. Participants will walk a relaxed 4.5 mile loop that crosses seventeen bridges in the heart of Spokane. Starting at the historical Monroe Street Bridge, you will make your way through Riverfront Park at your own pace and end at the Rotary Riverfront Fountain. Enjoy this easy-going walk full of fresh air and spectacular views of Spokane. Proceeds from the walk will go towards benefiting Spokane Parks and Recreation Programs. Each paid participant receives a collector pin featuring this year's featured bridge, the "Suspension Bridges."

The cost is $19 per adult (ages 17+), and $12 for youth (ages 5-16). Participants will receive a memorabilia pin, along with a chance to experience one of Spokane's most beautiful natural wonders. Registration is available online at bit.ly/bridgewalk.

It's First Friday at the Millwood Gallery

This Friday, June 3 from 5:30 - 8:30pm, with featured artist, Dennis Kruger, will show wood carving/serving boards and hand made furniture. Teresa's Art Glass will showcase new fused glass clocks. The Blue Rooster Affair will cater and Mary Austin will be pouring wine. Special Guest is wine expert Ken Fasules, who will be on hand to talk about some of his favorite wines which will be served. Elkfest - Now in its seventh year, the three-day neighborhood music festival, Elkfest 2011 features a dozen local standouts and a handful of touring headliners, starting at 3 p.m. on Friday, June 3, and running through Sunday night, June 5 on Cannon St., bound by Pacific and 2nd avenues, near the Artfestivities at Coeur d'Alene Park in Browne's Addition. Friday headliners include Seattle rockers Blood Hot Beat and Shim; disco-funk trio Strength headlines Saturday; and Portland songstress Sallie Ford and her band, The Sound Outside, closes out Elkfest at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday night. Mayer Hawthorne - Stone Throw Records' up-and-comer Mayer Hawthorne and his band, The Country, are playing a free show tonight, June, 1, at 8 p.m., at The Knitting Factory Concert House, 919 W. Sprague Ave.. Cost: Free.
